Dr Shyamasri Biswas is co-founder, executive publisher and chief editor of Biotechnology Kiosk. She is an internationally recognized structural biologist, protein chemist, molecular biologist and biotechnologist. She received her PhD in biotechnology jointly from the University of Potsdam in Germany and Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in India under the prestigious DAAD sandwich international research fellowship program. She was a senior scientist in several labs in the United States that include University of Massachusetts, Worcester MA, and The University of North Carolina at Raleigh and University of Florida at Gainesville. She has mentored several undergraduate and graduate students and have made significant contributions in solving challenging protein crystal structures of therapeutic relevance, including membrane proteins. Dr. Biswas has published over 100 articles in reputed journals and magazines and presented numerous talks at national and international meetings. Dr. Biswas is a senior editorial board member of Proteins and Peptide Letters, an international journal, and a contributing editor in Vacuum Advances in Biotechnology for Vacuum Technology & Coating Magazine, where she writes a monthly column in biotechnology.
