Dr. Maqsood A. Siddiqui is an Associate Editor (Middle East) of Biotechnology Kiosk. He is an Associate Professor at Department of Zoology, College of Science, King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. He received his PhD from Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), Lucknow and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Medicine, University of Louisville, KY, USA. His core research activities are mainly focused in understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of toxicity of various nanoparticles, environmental chemicals, pesticides and new drugs with special emphasis on cytotoxicity, oxidative stress mediated damages, mRNA expression of apoptotic marker using in vitro cell culture and in vivo rat models. He is serving as an Editorial Board Member of several reputed journals and expert reviewer for a large number of well-known journals. Dr. Siddiqui has published more than hundred research publications in International journals of high repute and has presented more than sixty research papers in conferences/symposia. Dr. Siddiqui’s work is funded from agencies such as ‘The National Plan for Science and Technology’, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, King Saud University, Riyadh etc. He is a member of various scientific societies like Society of Toxicology (SOT) USA, British Science Association UK, International Society for Neurochemistry, Saudi Biological Society, Society of Toxicology India, Indian Academy of Neurosciences, The Kentucky Academy of Sciences USA, Middle East Molecular Biology Society, UAE, etc. Recently Dr. Siddiqui was recognized and ranked among the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” listed by prestigious Stanford University.
